Spring Time

Last summer Barron was too young to get to do much outside. Now that he is older I am looking forward to this spring and summer. Just about daily now we are making a trip somewhere to play. Bryan's parents came to town so of course the first night we were at the beach watching the sunset.

It is taking some time, but we are slowly warming up to the sand.

Barron absolutely loves water, I am sure like most babies. When he hears me start his bath water he comes crawling in as fast as he can up to the tub. He will not allow me to move him away from it so I have to un-dress him right there. I figured he would like the ocean but did not know for sure. Well we could not get there fast enought.

We walked up and right after this picture was taken got drenched. It did not bother him one bit.

We were gross by the time we left but had fun.

Momma's Boy

Ok, so you are wondering why I have this picture. The other day I watched a show on baby elephants and when they travel around they hold onto their mother's tail.  I cannot get them out of my mind!  You might have to click on the image to see the entire thing.

For some reason baby elephants reminded me so much of Barron! I know that sounds strange but in the last few months Barron has become the biggest Momma's boy. He follows me around (on all fours), if I am not holding him he screams until I get him back. Bryan says that I intentionally did this. I sometimes think that maybe he is right. Since I am not a stay at home Mom I have gone through many emotions about Barron not knowing who I am. Well he definitely does now.  I try to let him play by himself on the floor and the minute I put him down he immediately starts after me.

If he is playing on the floor he has to be touching me.
I am so in love with this stage.  As much as I want him to walk, I love his dependence on me.  I know this will end so I am savoring every minute of it!

Beggers...

Not a trait I would like Barron to learn, but who can pass up bacon!

Beach Day

It was so pretty here last week that I got the great idea to take Barron to the beach.  It was a little windy but I thought we should go for it any way.  Well I did not realize how windy it was until we got there.  It took some trying to even get our towels to lay down.  I think we were there for an entire 10 minutes.  Enough to get some pictures.  Y'all are probably forgetting that we even live at the beach.  So here is some proof...

Barron always attacks Bryan when he has his sunglasses on.  He loves to take them off his face.

Columbus Visit

This past weekend the entire Krutz household (including the dogs) traveled to Columbus.  My parents had not seen Barron since Christmas so I was so excited for them to see how much he has changed.  When we last left Columbus, Barron was not moving at all on his own.  We all had a great time watching Barron crawl around.  He has some pretty distinct moves!
We came to Columbus so I could go to one of my best friend's announcement party. My sister, Amy, was nice enough to babysit Barron while we went.  She is so good with him and so much more of an Aunt than I could have ever imagined.

We also have fun hanging out with Grandmom.   It was really cold in Columbus and I forgot to bring Barron a jacket.  My Mom went and found one of my Dad's when he was young to put on him.  I think it is so cute.

My parent's lab, Peyton, gets jealous of the attention Barron gets.  Here she is trying to get the focus back on her.

I have had so many people tell me they think Barron looks like my Dad.  I really never saw it until they were hanging out together.  This picture may be hard to tell.

My Dad protecting Barron from his lab, Peyton.
No, that is not a cigar in Barron's mouth, it's my Dad's duck call.  It is soft and great for Barron to chew on.  He is getting his 9th tooth so a little grumpy.  He was not happy when we took it away.

Sundays

In the neighborhood that we live there is a great little playground for kids.  Since Barron is so young I am just getting to enjoy it.  I have taken him over there 3 times in the last month. It is nice to get him and me out of the house.
Pretty much the only thing Barron can do is swing.  My first time I stuck him in it he could not stop laughing.

We thought it would be fun to bring the dogs along.  If you are wondering Barron did not walk over to Bailey, we placed him on her.  It turned out well!

I know you may not can tell we have another dog so I tried my hardest to get a shot of him with Barron.  This was all we could get of Barron and Dylan.  (You can also tell who does not behave since he is the only one with a leash on.)

Dylan has started showing Barron a little bit of affection.  When we returned home from skiing Dylan ran up to Barron and licked him all over.  It was nice to see.

Snack Time

We are trying really hard to get Barron to feed himself.  It is funny how anything besides food he will put in his mouth.  When it comes to food he squashes it with his finger.  We are always putting food on his tray and on his exersaucer.  It keeps him occupied but it never ends up in his mouth.  Bailey is starting to figure this scenario out.  She hangs around, circling him like a shark, then goes in for a bite.  Barron could care less that she eats his food, but if you know Bailey you know she does not need any extra food!  The sweet girl has battled with her weight her entire life.
Barron even decided to help her out and just give her some.
