The Past Month...

This has been an extremely busy summer trying to get Willow + Woods opened and spending as much time as possible with my boys.  Pretty much every hour of the day I spend either working or getting home as fast as possible to Barron.  Barron has gotten a lot of Daddy time.  I don't think Barron realizes how lucky he is to have such a wonderful father.  I know I count my blessings every day!
This is what Barron looks like when he eats spaghetti with Dada and not Mama helping him out.  Bryan said Barron decided to put the fork down and start eating it with his hands, it's hard for me to look at.

Barron also likes to pile all of his toys on top of Dada when he is trying to watch tv.  I think it's Barron's way of getting the attention back on himself.

Barron just finished taking swimming lessons.  We had to go 4 days a week for 2 weeks, which was a lot!  I am not really sure how well Barron did.  He does not float at all, but the teacher kept telling me "he has a strong kick." (I think she was just trying to say something positive.)

He is holding on with his life here, because he does NOT like being on his back.  

We also had a visit by Uncle Wiley and Aunt Courtney.  They were sweet enough to come stay with us and I know Barron really enjoyed it.  We love Wawa, we have lots of conversations with him on our fake phone!

Memorial Weekend

We were blessed to have both sets of Grandparents as well as Aunt Amy come visit us for Memorial Weekend.  It was fun to think what it would be like to always have them around.  Barron would be in Heaven!  He LOVES being the center of attention and that is where he is when they are around.  It was also my birthday weekend, but birthdays on Memorial Weekend are not much fun if you are a business owner down on the beach.  So while I worked Barron got to play!

I would love to have been a fly on an umbrella and watch those ladies above with Barron.  I'm sure they were holding onto him and not letting him 2 inches from them.
I did get to get away at night time and got to celebrate my birthday.  They were sweet to surprise me with a cake and a special dinner.  Barron is eyeing the cake and about to get into it.

We always do a lot of posting up at the Wine Bar for big weekends but this weekend we were there a whole lot.  My Dad came to town with his cooker and smoked ribs, chicken, and sausage with Bryan for the wine bar.  Barron enjoyed helping them out and hanging out behind the bar...........

I think Barron is going to be like his Mama and love to dance.  Every time we go somewhere where there is music playing he is going to be front and center every time.  But instead of getting his Mama's moves I think he got his Dada's.  

But I will dance with him any day!

Sorry, it's been a while...

Sorry, I have been really bad with keeping up with the blog and we feel really bad...

It has been extremely busy here.  During our extra time we have been getting Barron out to the beach and pool as much as possible.  So this has been what we have been doing during our down time.

Barron's hair is getting blonder and his skin is getting tanner.  He is starting to look like a beach boy!  He is getting a lot better at talking.  He can count to ten and repeat the alphabet.  He can say the first few letters by himself but then he needs help reminding him of the rest.
I am sure a lot of you have heard but the reason I have been so busy is because Celia and I are opening another store.  It will be called Willow + Woods, clothing for men and women.  Here are a few pics of it with nothing in it.  You can see Barron in the background running free.  (but not for long)

Party Time!!!

Since we were in California for Barron's second birthday I decided to have Barron's birthday party after we returned.  We live in a community that is right on a big lake, that has docks lining it.  I thought it would be fun to grill out next to it.

It was a lot of work but thankfully my sweet husband did not play golf that day!  The party was on a Sunday making it hard for our families to make it.  But my sweet Mother drove all the way here for one night to be at Barron's party.  It meant the world to us and she was a big help.

For some reason most of Barron's age group here are boys.  We try to get together weekly, so they have gotten to really know each other.  It's fun to watch them play.

I do not have any close ups of Barron's cake but I am happy to say that it was spelled correctly!!! 

We are blessed with so many great, supporting friends.  It makes having parties much more fun.

Fred turns 60 and Barron turns 2

The entire Krutz clan got to head to California to celebrate Granddad Krutz's 60th Birthday.  We made our first stop in San Francisco.  There we got to go up to wine country during the day and taste some really good wines.  Barron enjoyed the big city a lot more than I thought he would.  He LOVED all of the cars, buses, and fire trucks that were constantly going by.  I forgot to take my camera with me the entire time we were in San Francisco.  I got one iphone pic of Barron and I while out shopping...

We then headed south to Carmel to the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Event.  Patrick's wine, Krutz Family Cellars, was poured at the event.  While there, Bryan got to play for his first time at Pebble Beach.  We met the men on the 18th hole to bring them some champagne.

Barron could not stay away once he saw his Dad, and ran out there to finish the hole with them.

We then had to find some wine to finish our day with.  Barron and Patrick enjoyed running around and playing.

Barron is very affectionate and continued to try to kiss or hug on Patrick.  Patrick refused to let Barron do it and I think even got annoyed with him.  Here is Barron going in for a kiss...

Since we were in Carmel we had to make a stop at the Cheese Shop.  The Cheese Shop is the reason all of the Krutz boys are in the wine business.  It is a lot of fun to hang out there (even for the little ones).

After getting a bunch of cheese and wine we headed to some rocks on 17 mile drive.  Saying it was cold is an understatement!

On Sunday, we hung out at Spanish Bay.  Every afternoon a bag piper walks up playing.  It is fun to listen to and let the kids run free.

We gave Barron a Pebble Beach hat for his birthday.  He has started to love a baseball hat so he was proud to wear his around.  We had trouble getting him to take it off.

That night for Barron's birthday we all went to dinner.  We learned quickly that the boys did better at the table when they were sitting together.

It would only be fitting for Barron's cake to be mis-spelled again.  Either Barron is hard to spell or I am hard to understand (and I believe I know which one my Dad would say).  Maybe one day we will get Barron's cake right!

It was a wonderful week celebrating with family.  I wish we were together more often!

How My Boy Has Grown.

My precious baby is about to turn 2 in a few weeks.  I have mixed emotions about that day, but it will be here before I know it.
Here is Barron last February looking out the window.  He was 10 months old and not walking yet.  I am sure he crawled over there and got himself up.  It is so hard for me to remember him like that.  He was so chubby then.

Here he is last month.  I remembered that pic (above) of him and wanted to see the height difference in a year.  The funny thing is, he's only about 3 pounds heavier now than he was then.

My tall little baby is unfortunately called a toddler now and likes to take care of his own babies.  They get to eat with us a lot of times at dinner.  And get a bite of food before Barron!  (whatever it takes to get him to eat.)
