The Last 3 Months

So for me to get caught up on blogging the current events I need to just sum up what has happened in the last three.  Soon after we got home from the hospital our family came to meet Mae and Walter.  I apparently did an awful job of taking pictures of everyone.  Here are a few of what I have from the first few days home.

Barron became obsessed with them quickly.

He had to help us do everything.

Barron started smiling at 5 weeks and 5 days (to be exact),  When Mae and Walter had not smiled by 6 1/2 weeks I started worrying.  I even called the pediatricians office to see if I should bring them in.  I know they thought I was crazy.  They finally smiled at 7 weeks and were about a day apart.  We were told Mae had a flat head at her 2 week check-up.  I later came home to Dora coming up with a home remedy to fix Mae's head.

We have really enjoyed regular visits from my Mom as well as a visit from my Aunt Lauren and Leslie.

Towards the end of May we decided to take our first road trip with everyone and head to Mississippi.  It was so nice to be back at home with lots of help.

As wonderful as it has been for them to come into our lives, I am so glad the first three months are over!

Mae and Walter

On Friday March 4th, I decided I had to go into work the next day to help out.  That morning at work became really busy.  I was running around that store holding onto 11 pounds 8 ounces of just baby weight.  It did me in.  I went home with contractions at lunch to lay down.  They kept coming and were getting stronger so I decided to call my Doctor.  I new this was it and went and took a shower.  I drove my self (for the second time) in labor to the hospital.  Bryan stayed at home to settle Barron down who was going crazy to see both of us leave.  I did not want Bryan to come, I wanted him to stay at home with Barron.  So when he got to the hospital I was mad at him and told the nurse (jokingly) to not let him come back.  Boy was that a mistake.  I then had to tell several different people that my husband does not abuse me and we do have a loving relationship.

Mae Stovall arrived at 8:04 pm weighing 5 pounds 4 ounces.  Walter Howard arrived at 8:05 pm weighing 6 pounds 4 ounces.  The nurse brought Mae over and let me kiss her before they took her to the nicu to check her out.  Walter was rushed immedately to the nicu because he was having breathing problems.  I did get to hold Mae briefly that night, but I did not even get to see Walter until the next day.

Below is me with Walter and Barron.

This is not the cutest picture of Mae, but it cracks me up.  Mae, Barron, and Walter.

Hopefully this is a good start back into the blogging world.  More to come soon.
