Patrick time...

We had dinner tonight with Bryan's brother, Patrick, and his wife, Rebecca.  They are in town through the weekend.  Bryan and I have been so excited about them coming.  Here is their precious son Patrick and Barron's cousin...  (here and here were the other visits.)
Patrick is 8 months old now so they can finally interact with one another.  They were sooo cute...  (Patrick already has twice the amount of hair as Barron, hopefully Barron's is coming soon!)

I see a lot of fun between the two in the future.  I think they are buddy's from here on out!

Busy Week

This week began on Monday with Grandma and Papa Hutchins (their new names for now) leaving town.  Tuesday and Wednesday Barron and I went to Vacation Bible School at our Church, Point Washington Methodist.  Thursday my sister, Amy, came to town with her boyfriend, Eric and they just left today.
Barron was a few months too young for Vacation Bible School but they said I could bring him and stay with him.  I thought it would be a good experience for him so I decided to do it.  I only remembered my camera one day but I got a few really cute shots.  I hate to admit it but Barron was not the best student.  He wanted to do what he wanted to do and would scream and cry if I directed him another way!  I even think he may have been the worst kid in the room.  In the end he really had the time of his life.

Here he is not listening to what the teacher was saying and walking up and down on this table.  I tried several times to get him to stop and he would scream so I decided to just let him keep doing it.

I have done a few posts before on Barron's buddy, Josh.  This spring and summer have been pretty busy so we have not gotten them together that often.  Every time we do Barron instantly recognizes him and loves all over him.  So when Barron got to see Josh at VBS this is what happened...

On Thursday Aunt Amy came to town and got to give Barron lots of kisses...

We had a fun weekend with her and Eric.  Barron warmed up quick to both of them.  Hope they come back soon!

15 Months

This little man turned 15 months old on Saturday...
At his check-up we got his latest measurements. He actually lost a pound from his 12 month check-up and weighs 27 pounds, 4 ounces which made him slip for the first time out of the 95th% all the way to 75th%. Barron is now 33 inches long in the 90th%. You can definitely tell he is slimming down!
Our Pediatrician was a little shocked to see that he has all of his teeth except 1! He has gotten all four of his first molars (thank goodness that is over with).
Granddad and Grandmom Hutchins came to town. Granddad decided to let him drive us to the pool. (not really!)

Barron had fun playing in the pool with his Grandmom and Granddad. Bryan and I got to relax for a change.

Swimming wears Barron out so he had fun playing on the couch. He still loves some peek-a-boo...

Dora is gone now but she did find us a sweet lady to help out. Her name is Cavlotta. I will give an update on her a little later! Have a great week.

Our Dora

I hired a lady, Dora, to help me with Barron and the house before Barron was born.  She started working for us last March.  I have never blogged about her but she has been a big part of our lives.  She is with us four days a week and would babysit at night whenever we needed her to. She moved to the U.S. from Honduras 12 years ago and became a citizen of the U.S.  She does know a little English but there is a definite language barrier between us.  I have always wanted my children growing up knowing two languages and she does a great job teaching Barron.  You can definitely tell he understands her!
Well the reason I am telling you all of this is because we found out Sunday night she is leaving us.  Her niece, which she practically raised, has been diagnosed for a second time with cancer. Dora has decided to go back to Honduras to be with her.  It was really hard news to hear and I realized what a big part of our lives she is.  Her last day with us is Friday.  I don't have many pictures of her but I thought I would post the ones I do have.

July 4th Weekend

This was the first July 4th since we've lived here that we have not had family in town with us.  Bryan had to work a lot so I decided to pack us up and go stay in Rosemary at the Krutz's beach house.  It allowed Barron and I to stay around in Rosemary longer so we could hang out with Bryan.  It was a lot of fun!
Barron is obsessed with the fountain in the back yard.  Every time we went out back I ended up having to strip him down because he would get so wet.

We also had fun swinging on the swing. (he pretty much stayed in diapers only in the backyard.)

The three years we lived in Rosemary, Bailey and Dylan were more known than we were.  The Montessori Academy in Rosemary would walk their pre-schoolers by our house every day so they could see them.  This is what they would see:

This time in Rosemary this is what you would see...

and then of course the fourth.

Here is a picture of Bryan and Barron last July 4th and then of course one from this one.  The difference a year makes!
